Veterinarian Bios
 
Dr. Dorothy F. Hayes
  Dr. Hayes, a native Long Islander from Farmingville, attended The Academy of St. Joseph high school in Brentwood from 1977 to 1981. She then obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Manhattan College in 1985. Dr. Hayes attended The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine from 1985 to 1989. After graduation, Dr. Hayes returned to Long Island and worked full time at the Great Neck Animal Hospital from June 1989 till October 2000. During this time, she also worked part-time at The North Shore Animal League attending to the needs of orphaned puppies and kittens. Dr. Hayes also worked at The Nassau Animal Emergency Clinic for 12 years where she obtained extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine.
Dr. Judy Lombardi-Daniels
  Dr. Lombardi grew up in New Jersey and attended the University of Pennsylvania for her undergraduate training, and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. She did an internship at the Oradell Animal Hospital in 1988-1989, and then moved to Long Island in 1989. Dr. Lombardi worked at the Great Neck Animal Hospital with Dr. Hayes for 4 years, and worked at the Nassau Animal Emergency Clinic for 10 years where she received experience in emergency and critical care medicine. She and Dr. Hayes opened The Corner Animal Hospital in Setauket, NY in October 2000. Dr. Lombardi-Daniels currently lives with her husband, two children, two dogs and three cats.
Dr. Sarah Reed
  Dr. Reed grew up in Massachusetts and received her undergraduate training from Tufts University and Columbia University. Prior to veterinary school she worked as a veterinary technician and volunteered her time to shelters locally and abroad. Dr. Reed attended University of Pennsylvania school of Veterinary Medicine from 2002 to 2006. Dr. Reed graduated with honors and was the recipient of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons Small Animal Surgery Award. She completed an internship at Long Island Veterinary Specialists, where she received training from multiple specialists in veterinary medicine. Dr. Reed also worked at North Shore Animal League for three years prior to starting at Corner Animal Hospital. She currently lives with her husband, two children and four cats.
